Profile
William Scott "Bill" Bruford (born 17 May 1949) is an English drummer, percussionist, songwriter, producer, and record label owner who first gained prominence as the original drummer of the rock band Yes, from 1968 to 1972. He then joined King Crimson, an association which would last off and on until 1997. He also helped found U.K. and has led his own groups playing music that straddles both jazz and rock, notably Bruford and Earthworks. He is one of the most influential drummers in progressive rock.
