Theo Travis (born 7 July 1964 in Birmingham, England) is a British saxophonist, flautist, and clarinetist. Travis received his degree in music from the University of Manchester specializing in the works of Shostakovich, but is best known for his work in jazz and rock as a performer. In the early 90s, he gained some notice for his work with Jade Warrior, releasing his first solo album around the same time. Since then, he has worked in the spheres surrounding King Crimson, Japan, and Canterbury descendants, including Gong, Jansen / Barbieri / Karn, Robert Fripp, Steven Wilson, No-Man, and so on.

You Can Be Part of an Ambient Electronic Project – The Gesture of History is a new electronic project put together by Sam Rosenthal of Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Steve Roach, and violist Sam Shadow. The music started as an instrumental track Rosenthal was working on for a Black Tape album, but took on a life of its own and demanded further enhancements.
