Profile
After starting as a noisy post-punk band, Motorpsycho has turned into enduringly diverse proponent of psychedelia and progressive rock. The band was founded in October 1989 in Trondheim, with an initial line-up of Bent Sæther (vocals, bass), Hans Magnus “Snah” Ryan (guitar, vocals), and Kjell Runar “Killer” Jenssen (drums). Jenssen departed in 1991, and the band has been through several drummers since then, including Håkon Gebhardt (1991–2005), Kenneth Kapstad (2005-2016), and Tomas Järmyr (2017-). Various others have participated on keyboards, rhythm guitar, and other instruments, with Sæther and Ryan the constant core. Ryan is also involved in the experimental jazz group Reflections in Cosmo.
