Stuart Hamm (born February 8, 1960) is an American bassist best known for his playing the jazz fusion style, though his work encompasses nearly everything possible on the instrument. He is best known for his stints as sideman for such players as Steve Vai, Joe Stariani, Frank Gambale, Michael  Schenker, and many others. He has also released a number of albums under his own name.
