Many of Il Segno del Comando’s albums have a literary or media reference. They took their name from the 1971 Italian slasher-fantasy television mini-series of the same name; their 2002 album Der Golem is named after the 1920 German expressionist film; 2013’s Il Volto Verde is named after Gustav Meyrink's second novel The Green Face (1916). Their new album, Sublimazione – Live, is a live document recorded during the band’s 2025 winter tour, plus some bonus tracks from a 2022 performance in the Netherlands. There is no new music here — the tracks come from Il Segno del Comando, L’Incanto dello Zero, and Il Domenico Bianco. Both performances were in front of enthusiastic intimate audiences. Sublimazione – Live documents the evolution and maturation of the band’s compositions, artistry, and musicianship. One of the changes was the arrival of Paolo Serboli on drums in 2024. Tracks 1 to 7 were recorded at Spazio Webo (Pesaro, Italy) on January 31, 2025 while the bonus tracks are from a concert at Blok (Netherlands) on October 30, 2022. The band lineup is Diego Banchero (bass), Davide Bruzzi (guitar and keyboards), Roberto Lucanato (guitar), Riccardo Morello (voice), Beppi Menozzi (keyboards), and Paolo Serboli (drums). This album presents a powerful performance of their music. The outstanding moments include the mysterious “Nel Labirinto Spirituale,” the gothic “La Taverna dell’Angelo,” and  “Il Segno del Comando” where they truly excel as a band. The live performances on Sublimazione – Live are an essential celebratory collection of tracks for their many fans, as well as an excellent opportunity for new fans to explore Il Segno del Comando’s music.
