The world has lost one of its true musical innovators. German electronic pioneer Klaus Schulze has died at the age of 74. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to overstate the importance his work has had on the course of music since he started working in the late 60s. He was an early member of Tangerine Dream, and also involved with such groups as Ash Ra Tempel, The Cosmic Jokers, and Stomu Yamashta’s Go, though he is best known for his extensive solo catalog. He died on 26 April, 2022 after a long illness.
