Various Artists - Seven Days of a Life – This compilation has obviously been real late in the making, as all of the tracks were recorded between 1989 and 1991. While the concept of this album is explained in greater detail in the CD booklet,...  (1994) » Read more

Oysterband - Here I Stand – Oysterband (originally The Oyster Band) has been making music in their own unique and developing style for more than a decade. I would hesitate to call them a post-punk equivalent of Fairport...  (2000) » Read more

Mike Keneally - Boil That Dust Speck – In a genre dominated by long tracks, fantastical lyrical content and a far too serious posture, it's nice to see someone go against the grain. Keneally has put together an album that has 30 tracks...  (1995) » Read more

Various Artists - Tarzan Compilation – Originally on the Bla-Bla label from 1972, the Tarzan Compilation features eleven short tracks by four bands: Capsicum Red, Wells Fargo, Black Sunday Flowers, and Osage Tribe. Two of these bands...  (1995) » Read more

The Building Press - Amplitude of Frequencies over Time – I guess I can’t blame whoever invented the term “math rock”. After all, if you called it what it really is – prog rock, or more accurately, art rock – only people who...  (2003) » Read more
