Bio / info

Pink Fairies (sometimes The Pink Fairies) is an English rock band that first became active in the London underground scene of the early 70s. They were known for staging free performances outside the gates of music festivals, and for anarchic behavior. The group was formed as a successor to the Deviants and has featured members of Tyrannosaurus Rex, The Pretty Things, The Move, Hawkwind, Motörhead, and more, with frequent departures and returns. The first incarnation of the band was assembled by John "Twink" Alder for his album Think Pink, where they were billed as Pink Fairies Motorcycle Club and All-Star Rock and Roll Band.
