Jodi was an experimental band of the late 60s in Asunción, Paraguay. Brothers Jörn and Dirk Wenger combined the first two letters of their first names to get the name, and they recorded in a studio they built themselves in a disused part of a factory their family owned. After recording an album in 1969 (not released until 1971), the brothers traveled to Germany, where they were exposed to the thriving experimental scene. In the 70s, they signed with EMI and produced a series of more pop-oriented albums under the name Iodi.
