Christiaan Herbert Hinze is a Dutch jazz flutist and composer, born 30 June 1938 in Hilversum, The Netherlands. In 1969, while studying at the Berklee College of Music, he began a series of albums interpreting classical music in a jazz context. He has composed orchestral works and collaborated with musicians from all over the world.
