To get a clear idea of what’s on offer with Soul Shifter, take a look at my review of his previous solo album, Aerial Visions. Barring the description of his ZZ Top cover, every word written about that album applies to this one. Ten more tracks of solid rock guitar touching on various of the standard styles — much too predictable and mainstream for my taste, though guitar junkies may find things to like.
