Jubaleumsplate- En hyllest til Knutsen & Ludvigsen Cover art

Knutsen & Ludvigsen were the Norwegian duo of Øystein Dolmen ("Knutsen") and Gustav Lorentzen (“Ludvigsen"). They primarily wrote and performed children’s songs in the 70s. They had several #1 hits, including "Grevling i taket," "Hallo! Hallo!" and "Dum og deilig.” Then in the 90s they gained cult status among young Norwegian rockers. Ludvigsen passed away in 2010, and in 2021 Apollon Records released a tribute album celebrating Knutsen & Ludvigsen’s 50 years as recording artists, featuring a cross section of Norwegian bands, some of whom should be familiar to Exposé readers: Racer (Dum Dum Boys), Arabs in Aspic, Silja Sol, Jørund Vålandsmyr & Menigheten (featuring Emile the Duke), Frank Hammersland, Bare Egil Band, Endre Olsen, Tusmørke, Vulture Industries, Deathcrush, and Kryptograf. And Knutsen is also featured on the Arabs in Aspic’s “Dyrevise.” All new recordings and a cover of "Dum og deilig” run the gamut from Norwegian pop to folk prog to prog metal, lovingly and gently performed to honor their heroes. Definitely an album that is more meaningful to Norwegian millennials, yet can be enjoyed by all. The best tracks in my opinion are Tusmørke’s “Månenland,” Vulture Industries innocent prog metal “Matpakkevise,” and Deathcrush’s “Knutsens drøm.”
