Oh, Dear Lord... I took a look at the titles for some of the tracks on this album: "Rock n Roll's My Life," "Lost Without You," "Nasty Boys," and just cringed. I kept an open mind though. Sometimes, a book will be better than its cover. Then again, sometimes after you plod through a crappy book, you find yourself looking back at the cover and thinking, "It's not so bad after all..." Swallows takes the listener on a nostalgic musical journey back to the glory days of mid-80s hair-farmer bands like Cinderella, Warrant, and Trixter. There's even a glam rock remake of "Fame."  (Yes, that song from the movie and TV series of the same name.) Sappy, soupy lyrics; Van Halen style backing vocals; cliched, pomp rock arrangements. Everything that was terrible about Y&T is represented here. You wouldn't even blink if they started in with Mötley Crüe's "Home Sweet Home." Is this where those Nelson dudes have been hiding? Swallows gags.
