Jah Wobble (born John Joseph Wardle August 11, 1958 in London) is a bassist, composer, poet, and producer who came to attention as the founding bassist of Public Image Ltd in 1978. Since then, his explorations of musical styles from around the world have brought a wide variety of sounds into more common awareness. He has worked with a large number of other musicians, including Brian Eno, Holger Czukay, Gill Laswell, Evan Parker, Ginger Baker, Sinéad O'Connor, The Orb, Rachid Taha, and Baaba Maal.
