Utopia is an American progressive rock band, led by Todd Rundgren, that toured and recorded from 1973 to 1986. Rundgren's back-up band for A Wizard, a True Star (1973) evolved into the first version of Utopia, a band oriented towards progressive rock. Through its history, the band changed personnel and styles several times, though the best known lineup included Roger Powell, Kasim Sultan, and John Wilcox.
