Mountain was an American hard rock band that was formed on Long Island, New York, in 1969 by Leslie West (guitar, vocals), Felix Pappalardi (bass, vocals), Steve Knight (keyboards), and N. D. Smart (drums, soon replaced by Corky Laing). The band broke up in 1972 and has reunited frequently since 1973.
