DulceMuse / Katje Janisch
United States
Bio / info
DulceMuse is Katje Janisch, who uses synths to manipulate folk instrument textures into a matrix over which she weaves ethereal vocal melodies, flutes, strings and other organic sounds in order to create a trancelike atmosphere which ranges from idyllic and dreamlike to electrifying and hypnotic. As a singer and multi-instrumentalist, Janisch has contributed to music made by a number of artists and bands, appearing on Kersbergen founded Sleepyard's 2018 release Winter Crickets as well as music produced by The Ilk, The NoMen, and Sonisk Blodbad. Also in 2018, Janisch and Kersbergen collaborated to record an album of psychedelic ambient and experimental music entitled Kersbergen & Janisch, which like Janisch's other albums appeared on the UK label Reverb Worship.
