Dreams was one of the earliest bands to join jazz and rock music. The band was formed by Jeff Kent (keyboards, guitar, vocals) and Doug Lubahn (bass, vocals), who wrote and arranged their songs, and for their debut album grew to include Billy Cobham (drums), John Abercrombie (guitar), Randy Brecker (trumpet), Michael Brecker (saxophone), Barry Rogers (trombone, tuba), and Edward Vernon (vocals). For the second album, Kent and Lubahn were replaced by Don Grolnick and Will Lee, and Bob Mann took over for Abercrombie.
