Amoebic Ensemble (also known as The Amoebics) was an instrumental band in the 90s from Providence, Rhode Island, headed by Alec K. Redfearn (accordion). He was joined by Shawn Wallace (trumpet), Jonathan Thomas (percussion), Matthew Everett (bouzouki, mandolin, electric guitar), Laura Gulley (violin), Steve Jobe (bassoon, hurdy-gurdy, vocals), and Paige van Antwerp (drums). Atter the release of their first album, van Antwerp, Thomas, and Wallace left, and were replaced by Gerry Heroux (trumpet) and Mark Pedini (drums).
