Hanford Flyover is one of the recent Fruits de Mer discoveries. The duo of Josh Bowler (UK) and Holly Bowler (USA) has appeared on four FdM compilation releases: Never Mind the Pollock, The Half-Time Orange, Sunny Spells, and A Band for All Seasons. They released their first full length album Hanford Tape Sessions on FdM in 2022 to coincide with their appearance at FdM’s annual Dr. Sardonicus summer festival, which was extremely well received. Since then they wrote and recorded their new album Source and appeared again at the Dr. Sardonicus festival in 2023. Always creating and promoting collectible product, FdM released Source as a very limited lathe-cut LP with edited tracks, as well as a CD. Taking inspiration from such diverse bands, musicians, and genres as Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Black Sabbath, The Small Faces, The Beta Band, Air, the B-52s, folk, blues, gospel, and bluegrass, Hanford Flyover has produced a brilliant and extraordinary album that is a departure from their debut. Source contains eight energetic neo-psych masterpieces with swooping electronics, innovative arrangements, and excellent guitar riffing. Nowhere can I find how Josh and Holly divide up Hanford Flyover’s musical chores, but a photo shows Josh on guitar and Holly on keys. The entire album is flawless and clearly showcases the musical diversity and musicianship by both Josh and Holly.  And to top everything off, Josh and Holly are very generous with their music. All of their Bandcamp albums are available as Name Your Price including their 2023 Dr. Sardonicus performance, which Sendelica also released along with eight separate releases by other bands performing at the festival.
