2112 is a trio from Argentina that plays a spirited form of "pop-rock" a-la Asia, and, of course, Rush. Okay, there isn't even much of a Rush sound here, except the occasional Lifeson-style guitar break, or the "Natural Science" moog sound. I also found nothing much of interest in this disc either. The music is pretty straightforward, just three guys rocking out. This is the band’s first album, originally released on LP in 1990. It's the kind of album that just sits there, it doesn't suck, it just doesn't do much for me. Most of the songs are short, like Rush Hold Your Fire era, kind of songs. A Little guitar solo, some vocals, maybe a keyboard riff. If this one is from the vaults, send it back. Pick up something more recent.
