Xu Fengxia

Bio / info

Xu Fengxia is a Chinese musician now based in Germany. She was born in Shanghai and studied at the Shanghai Conservatory, learning guzheng, sanxian, guqin, and liuqin. After touring around the world in the late 80s, she expanded her music to include elements of jazz and avant-garde. She has worked extensively with bassist Peter Kowald in his Global Village ensemble.
