Surrender to the Air was an improvisational group leg by Trey Anastasio. The short-lived ensemble featured Anastasio (guitar) with Marshall Allen (saxophone), Kofi Burbridge (flute), Oteil Burbridge (bass guitar), Damon R. Choice (vibraphone), Jon Fishman (drums), Bob Gulloti (drums), James Harvey (trombone), John Medeski (organ), Michael Ray (trumpet), and Marc Ribot (guitar). Allen, Choice, and Ray were all veterans of Sun Ra bands.
