Second Hand was an English psychedelic and proto-progressive band formed by teenage schoolmates in 1965. Their first album was released in 1968 under the name The Moving Finger, but immediately they ran into trouble due to another band of the same name releasing a single shortly before Reality came out. They renamed themselves Second Hand, a tribute to the fact that all of their gear was bought used. A second album came out in 1971, but personnel changes and artistic differences fragmented the group. A third album was recorded using the name Chillum. Some of the members went on to form Seventh Wave.
