Ougenweide is a progressive rock band from Germany. They are notable for being pioneers of the medieval folk rock subgenre. The name comes from Middle High German ougenweide (Augenweide - feast for the eyes). The beginnings of the band date from 1969 when Frank Wulff, Michael Steinbeck, Jürgen Isenbart, and Brigitte Blunck started working together. They founded Ougenweide in 1970 in Hamburg and their first album came out in 1973.
