Bio / info
Hinn Íslenski Þursaflokkur (Icelandic for “The Icelandic Flock of Trolls/Giants,” also sometimes credited as Þursaflokkurinn) is a progressive folk-rock band from Iceland. They formed in the 70s and released their self-titled debut album in 1978, using the full-length name. Subsequent albums used shortened forms of the name. They were active until the mid 80s, and have reunited from time to time since then.
