Essentially a six-cut demo CD from a Bay Area five-pc metal ensemble that you'll be surprised you've never heard of.  Make no mistake about it, this is more metal than it is prog-rock, but with a fluid sense of syncopation and a flair for hip-gyrating guitar riffs, there is plenty here that prog-metal fans will find to enjoy.  The obvious comparisons are Tesla, Queensrÿche, Mr. Big, and the like, but don't expect too much keyboards. Although a guest keyboardist is credited, it's really just background chord filler in a few places. This is guitar rock first and foremost. Lead singer Mark Lee Mosquiera has an impressive range, and he can wail with the best of them. Twin guitarists Austin and Rodriguez play off each other like pros and the rhythm section is pretty nimble as well. The biggest question though, is how much of a market is there for this kind of music anymore? Five to ten years ago these guys could have been huge in the mainstream rock metal industry. If the above comparisons sound like your cup of tea, make sure to look these guys up.
