Swåp — Swåp
(Amigo AMCD 735, 1997, CD)

This meeting of two Swedes and two Brits (as the blurb goes) is the most traditional act I've heard on NorthSide, one of those accordion and fiddle acts that reproduce straight folk songs. And nicely done as well, with a fusion that is apt to show more of the mutual affinities than the distinguishing characteristics of their mutual heritages. As the promo says, they move from Swedish polska to Celtic jig, from Scandinavian "vals" to British waltz. And with that you can see I'm far from my musical experience here, so enough said.
