Резина (Rezina) is a noisy psychedelic hardcore band from Moscow that records songs with a variety of singers from different bands and countries, mostly Russia. Резина consists of Ilya Zinin (guitar), Andrey Klimov (guitar), Dmitry Sirotkin (bass), and Dmitry Drozdov (drums), and they are quite adept at playing different musical genres as evidenced by the mere variety of styles on their 2020 album 1619 and their recent single Секрет. I hear notes of post punk (think Wire), Bauhaus, motorik Krautrock ala Neu!, noisy psych similar to Godspeed You!  Black Emperor, funky bass, Russian rap, etc. And on “Секрет” Robert Fripp’s influence is evident in the guitar work and the arrangement. An interesting set of songs featuring singers from various noisy psych punkodelia bands. Each song  is a separate collaboration tailored to the specific vocalist, gravitating towards unpublished tracks that have not yet found their voice. Don’t worry if you don’t understand the Russian lyrics, just let the music wash over you.
