Godless Ritual Music Cover art

Lino Strangis is an Italian multimedia artist, experimental musician, and director who lives and works in Rome and Turin. Over the years, he has experimented in many directions and is currently exploring the fusion of electronic music that borders on noise in a psychedelic ambient key as alchemy to try to propose a contemporary music that "despite being courageous and free in the realization is able to be engaging and fascinating as a sensorial experience and simply listening.” Lino’s latest endeavor, Godless Ritual Music, is an expanded EP of six electronic compositions spanning 32 minutes. The six tracks, creatively titled “1”, “2,” “3,” etc. are a selection of fragments from a series of improvisation sessions performed by Lino using different collections of synthesizers, in which the electronic music loses its usual definition to cross over into noise, combining different influences. Each track is unique. “1” is a slowly evolving dark repetitive sequenced electronic music track. Lino also created a surrealistic video for this track with synchronized dancing demons on the head of a giant demon. “2” is rumbling electronics with buzz-saw synths and hot searing electronics. “3” is distorted throbbing electronics that loop without movement over subliminal sounds. “4” contains crystalline and warped electronics. “5” takes the listener into the cosmos with directionless rhythms. And the album closes with “6” and its guttural croaking electronics. A very strange but engaging album.
