New Mexican labels Sol & Deneb and Smogless are really going for the gold here, releasing Mexican progressive rock of the highest caliber. I remember the first Delirium here being self-titled, although Primer Dialogo is the same album. Delirium was even closer to the sound of Iconoclasta than Caja de Pandora was, creating a highly charged progressive rock with strong influences from British, Spanish, and Italian schools. Their music can be driving or more cerebral with liberal solos from all musicians including keys, guitar and violin. One of Mexico's finest, the first Delirium is certainly worth checking out.

Previously unreleased, El Teatro del Delirio shows Delirium one year earlier in rehearsals. Four of the songs would end up on their actual album, yet there are earlier versions here without violin; with Victor Baldovinos on drums, who would soon after split to record Iconoclasta's classic debut; and while the debut was all instrumental, there are some vocal tracks here. Most of this seems redundant with the reissue of the debut, yet the music is still of good quality and therefore worth at least a listen. It was a shame Delirium broke up so soon afterwards, as their legacy could have been close to their musical cousins Iconoclasta.
