Ondes Martenot musician Christine Ott has a new album of piano music, Éclats (Piano Works). Éclats contains twelve solo piano compositions, an album Christine has been considering for a long time. When she was little, Christine would let her thoughts, imagination, and emotions escape through her fingertips, sketching out what she couldn't put into words. Éclats is a tribute to those times, Christine’s parents, the instrument that helped open her world, and to her childhood dreams. The instrumentals range from delicate to melancholy to melodic to dark discordant themes, accompanied by sustain, arpeggios, and clever composition. The music ebbs and flows across the twelve tracks, taking the listener through a range of emotions. This a wonderful album of Neoclassical piano work that is a joy to experience. Great music to relax to after a stressful day.
