Telegraph Avenue was a psychedelic rock band formed in Lima in 1969 by Bo Ichikawa and Chachi Luján (guitar), Alex Nathanson (bass), and Walo Carrillo (drums). Nathanson and Carrillo formed Tarkus during a break in Telegraph Avenue's activity. Singer Melissa Griffiths came on board in 1973, and the band recorded a second album before breaking up.
