The Monochrome Set is an English new wave band, originally formed in Hornsey, London in 1978. The band was known for their incorporation of visual elements into performances, courtesy of experimental filmmaker Tony Potts. Principal songwriter Bid (real name Ganesh Seshadri) has been the constant member, with others coming and going through several phases and reformations.
