Bio / info
Grok was formed in Hamilton, New Zealand, in the early 90s by brothers Scott (bass, vocals) and Grant (keyboards) Brodie, Chris Fish (guitar, synthesizer, live sound manipulation), and Max Ward (drums). Fish used a four-track recorder in live performances to play back and manipulate sounds from the stage and audience. After recording a single album, the band ceased activity, but Scott Brodie formed a new incarnation of Grok in London in 2006 with entirely new personnel, and since that time, has had varying versions of the band in the UK and New Zealand.
