Crack the Sky is a band formed in Weirton, West Virginia, in the early 70s and operating off and on since then. Membership in the band has changed frequently and there is no single musician who has been in all incarnations, though singer John Palumbo has been involved with most versions. As of early 2021, the band has released 19 studio albums, a number of live albums, and several compilations. Original bassist Joe Macre has released solo material in addition to his intermittent tenure in the band.
