Balloons for the Dog was an art rock band active in Maryland starting in the late 70s. Their music incorporated elements of rock, jazz, electronic experimentation, and absurdist theater. Membership varied over the years, including at times Bill Longhorse (guitar, backing vocals), Leo Stalin (vocals, chainsaw), George Liebensfeld (vocals), Eric Bindman (violin), Brian Bennett (bass, keyboards, backing vocals 1977-80), Henry Cross (bass 1980-81), Al Williams (drums 1977), and Don Fontaine (drums 1978-81).
