RIP John Renbourn

John Renbourn, the Scottish guitarist and founding member of the influential folk-rock-jazz band Pentangle, has died at the age of 70. His elaborate style of playing, as well as his willingness to experiment with sounds from around the world, were hugely influential in the folk music as well as being precursors to what was later called World Music.  » Read more

Sam Andrew, guitarist and founding member of Big Brother and The Holding Company, passed away on February 12th, at the age of 73. His death stemmed from complications related to a heart attack ten weeks earlier that left him in critical condition.  » Read more
